Designed by Jakob Runge and Mona Franz, Grato & Gratimo Classic is a sans serif font family. This typeface has twenty-one styles and was published by TypeMates.

The geometric Classic is available in two optical sizes: For larger sizes and purer geometry, Grato Classic is tuned for branding and identity design. If you need less geometry and more legibility, Gratimo Classic is fine-tuned for text and interface design.

Grato Classic is the humanist voice of the Geometric Suite. A timeless typeface with sharply cut terminals and apexes, it combines a pure, present voice with idiosyncrasy and luxury.
Grato is shaped by pure forms, low stroke modulation and square dots that contrast with almost perfect circles. Grato Classic takes that core and pursues the classical proportions and calligraphic detailing of early British geometric typefaces. The result is a typeface of quirks and clarity, a substantial family for identity and editorial work.
With a spectrum of nine weights, from fine Hairlines to super heavy Blacks, Grato can organise complex typographic hierarchies with ease.

Gratimo Classic is a powerful workhorse that combines elementary shapes and precise construction. An utilitarian family purpose-built for everyday use.
Where Grato Classic revels in pure geometry, Gratimo Classic has a practical focus. With a robust x-height, open apertures and generous spacing, its more restrained forms were the result of Grato being redrawn for reading. The result is a space saving typeface that draws on the humanist geometric types of Johnston and Gill to make something new.
An allrounder specialising in smaller reading sizes and lower resolutions, Gratimo Classic is suitable for user interfaces and longform writing. With a compact texture, it is efficient, robust and ready to work at any size.
For serious typography, Gratimo comes equipped with six weights, from Thin to sturdy Black. For greater distinction, it has matching italics.

Both combined are a super pack with 21 font styles and a long-lasting companion for brands that value diversity in language and clear screen performance.
